The Kennel Club has decided not to post schedules to last years Crufts exhibitors.
The main reason for this move is to save unnecessary costs in order to maintain other services since Crufts, as yet, has no major sponsor.

OUR DOGS wants to know if exhibitors are happy with this idea.

KC AGM 2011

At the KC AGM a proposal to ban coat testing for
powder, lacquer and silicone-based products at dog shows was put to the AGM?

Ban this silly rule please. But please continue too test for dyed dogs.

I support a great deal of what the kennel club does and has achieved but on this issue I think it is time for the KC to listen to the exhibitors. A dog show is a forum to show the world the lovely dogs that are bred, making the most of a dog by the use of shampoos etc. to present an exhibit with a clean shiny healthy coat is not cheating, it is an insult to a judge to do otherwise.
The manner in which exhibitors are treated at shows with regard to coat testing is unacceptable.

While I agree that coat testing for Dye's and bleach should still be done, testing for substance's in shampoo's and conditioners which are sold at all KC licensed events is going to far even rainwater contains pollutants , and the way it has been carried out is a step too far.
